| Hello Everyone, Hope all are well. Life in Jefferson City is going very well. I am now working for the Secretary of State in the Library Development division. So whenever you complain about paying taxes just think "Hey, I make it possible for Merideth to eat as much Taco Bell as she wishes." Life here is pretty quiet, I like that. In many ways Jefferson City reminds me of how Lee's Summit was when I was younger before it exploded into a massive city. It is big enough to not get too bored but small enough to know just about everyone. My only real complaint is being a Jayhawk in tiger country. Oh the cross that I must bear! I can now run a mile in under seven minutes, this is huge for me. As a result, Tad Morris and I have challenged each other to a foot race. I will dominate! So..... yes. | | |
| I graduated! It only took me four and half years, one broken leg, two surgeries, one broken tooth and one arrest but I graduated Cum Luade. That was fun. Farewell Warrensburg and all its many adventures. So now I am moving to Jefferson City at the end of this month. It will be fun. Mark is starting law school this fall most likely at the worst school of all time MU so it made more sense for me to move down south where it is cheaper and within driving distance of Columbia. I hopefully be going to grad school whenever I decide what I want to be when I grow up, I only had four years to figure it out. Lets not rush. So wish me luck and I hope all are well! | | |
| So I don't know if anyone reads this anymore but here is an update.
I am still in Warrensburg, I have three more classes until I graduate this December with my degree in History and Anthropology. I have no idea what happens next. I am considering grad school, because it is just what you do in my family but I am not sure what I want to study or where I want to go. This is huge for me because I am an ultra planner and I am just going to see what happens. Due to student teaching and graduations my legendary rock band team has split up but thankfully I have joined a new team that is truly amazing. I now perfecting the drums, along with my bass guitar, I have become a true addict now. Other than that I just go to school and work, but I have rediscovered the wonder of Sonic cheddar bites, so if next time you see me I weigh 2000 pounds that is why. In the world of my amazing health my body decided that I had not had a surgery in a while so my gallbladder failed and had to be removed and left me with colitis. It is terrible but controllable. This limits my chilli cheese dog intake greatly. My family is doing well, for those of you who know Whitney, she graduated from Yale this spring and is an ordained deacon, working at a cathedral in Indiana. We have found endless uses for her new collar and priest outfit. The twins are doing really well, Ginny had a mammogram in August and for the first time in two years it came back cancer free, this was an answer to many prayers. She and Kitty pledged sororities this year which I am so glad because I loved being greek. Mom and Dad are doing well, I have been following the election with them, and have rekindled my love for politics. I have joined my party headquarters and doing volunteer work there. It is fun to do that with them and hear all their stories about working on the Robert Kennedy campaign, hanging out with Jimmy Carter, and working for the ERA amendment. The older I get the more I learn from them them. Anyway that is my exciting life. Hope everyone is doing well.

| So I have had the opportunely to see many great performances and artist in my time. Ranging from The Royal Theater in London to Def Leppard. Well on April 26, 2008 I am going to see.......... BARRY MANILOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not know if I can handle this, after all he is the man that writes the songs that make the whole world sing. I can now die happy, or at least on April 27, 2008. Admit it you are so envious. | | |
| Ok so I am lame and can not work xanga correctly. Eight things about me. 1. I am really good with money. I love to learn about investing, bonds, stock market. One of my biggest pet peeves is wasting money. I cannot stand it. So do not go shopping with me. I am a terror. 2. I do not believe in the whole "love of your life" theory. I think you are capable of loving lots of people. I think it is silly to think there is one person that you are destined to spend your life with. Too much can happen. It does make for some great chick flicks though. 3. My family lives by two mottos a. Just to say I did it b. It seemed like a good idea at the time. As a result we are completely unable live normal lives because we end up in random situations and always have a crazy stories to tell. We have so much fun. 4. As a history major you do not want to watch historical movies with me. I am like Dwight from the Office. 5. I refuse to EVER wear a denim jumper. Well maybe if I am expecting and I better be on pain killers. 6. In high school a local band named their MP after me. It was "Merideth Rice did not stand you up this time" I was honored 7. I am a member of the "Committee of Public Safety" according to my Monster resume. Long live the Republic! 8. I am a total "Fanalow" and have no shame. | | |
